Choi Jonghoon
Former guitarist of FTIsland, Choi Jonghoon was exposed for his crimes as an active participant in the Jung Joonyoung KakaoTalk Molka Group Chat scandal. It was exposed in early 2019 that he was a member of the chatroom, alongside the information that he’d bribed Superintendent Yoon to assisting covering up his 2016 DUI scandal. It was later revealed that he was distributing molka and he was indicted on such charges.
Not long after his investigation began, Choi was accused of drugging and raping a woman in the USA in 2012. Although no reports can be identified at this time regarding the legal outcome of that accusation, Choi was again accused of rape in tandem with four other members of the molka group chat. All men were found guilty and sentenced to time in prison. Choi spent 2.5 years in prison before being released.
As recently as 2024, Choi was seen creating a FAN ICON (Japanese fan café) account for the purpose of reconnecting with fans.
